During the 15th to the 19th of May the LSTS was invited by the MET Office to participate in the 2017 edition of the ISARRA Flight Week.

​The week counted with the attendance of various UAV flight groups from University of Bath,​ Universität Augsburg (Institut für Geographie), National Physical Laboratory, University of Hertfordshire​ ​and​ NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory​ ​to name a few​.​

From 27 July to 7 August takes place the “Volta Portugal”, the largest national cycling competition. Associated with the competition is the initiative "Volta ao Conhecimento" that brings knowledge of various areas such as land, health, history, music and innovation, among others, closer to the public of the race.

From June 2nd to 4th, LSTS participated in the “Oceans Business Week” where we showcased Networked Ocean project and MarInfo projects, in order to allow both projects visibility and promotion among specific interest groups and the general public, along with our systems and software.

Welcoming FEUP's new students.

While most of our team is at Azores for REP 15 exercise, today at Matosinhos was the opening of the “Mar Sem Fim: a Derradeira Aventura da Exploração Oceânica” exhibit.

Organized by CMIA Matosinhos this exhibit hopes to stir the curiosity of public of all ages into learn more about sea explorations. Here you will also find some of our old aerial and underwater vehicles.

If you happen to came by Matosinhos, take some time to take a look. The exhibition can be visited until 17th December at the new CMIA installations on the ground level of Biblioteca Florbela Espanca.
