Every two years the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (IEEE OES) sponsors a collaborative symposium to bring together those working in the field of autonomous underwater vehicles.
The 13rd edition of this symposium took place in Porto, Portugal at the University of Porto, last week and its organization was managed by LSTS team.
The four day event gathered more than 200 participants from around the world. Presentation were distributed through 14 sessions, each approaching relevant topics related to autonomous underwater vehicles and also poster sessions.
There was also a student poster competition in which students were invited to submit proposals to address the AUV conceptual design challenge: "AUV system for data collection in the water column"
