Tiago Marques is a Research and Software Engineer at LSTS since 2015, where he started as a student worker. Tiago earned a Masters degree in Computer Science from University of Porto, where, in conjunction with LSTS, he developed his Master's Thesis with the title "Planning and Coordination of Multiple Autonomous Vehicles". Currently, at LSTS, he helps develop the onboard (DUNE), and distributed command and control (Neptus) software, as well as firmware for data loggers. Besides the development tasks he his also an AUV operator, having been at sea multiple times for various projects and scientific activities.
His focus and interests are in onboard autonomy and control, wireless sensor networks, systems engineering, delay tolerant networks and scientific applications of autonomous vehicles.
