PLOCAN Glider School 2021
With the objective to train the participants in theoretical and practical abilities and the necessary skills to operate gliders, the Glider School is a reference forum in marine glider technology. This year’s participants ranged from university students to professionals in the marine-maritime and technological field. The presentations covered from glider working principle and its applications, sensor integrations, mission results, vehicle presentations, project exhibitions to hands-on demonstrations of how to build, maintain, calibrate, operate and deploy the vehicles.
The glider technology is an asset to LSTS’s vision and operations and, therefore, in the upcoming months, several gliders will be integrated into our fleet and into some of our projects.
LSTS joined this year’s edition to improve their knowledge on this technology and get to know the people involved both in using it and in its development and support.
